Does universal subjection to Allah’s decree bring the reward of prescribed worship?

Original Q&A · Full displayed answer
This answers the preceding distinction between cosmic subjection and prescribed worship. It concerns mere unavoidable subjection to events; it does not deny the separate reward for faith, patience, or obedience in responding to a trial.

Original question
Esteemed Shaykh, are those subject to cosmic servitude rewarded for that as they are for prescribed worship?
Answer
They are not rewarded for that, because they are subject to Allah whether they wish it or not. A person becomes ill, poor, or loses someone or something he loves without wanting it; rather, he dislikes it. His subjection to Allah in that is cosmic subjection.
