Selected explanation
The Qur’an removes the diseases that produce corrupt desires, until the heart becomes sound, its will becomes sound, and it returns to the natural disposition upon which it was created, just as the body returns to its natural state. The heart receives from faith and the Qur’an the nourishment that purifies and strengthens it, just as the body receives nourishment that causes it to grow and sustains it. The heart’s growth in purity is like the body’s growth.
