Selected explanation

The Qur’an is a healing for what is in the breasts. For anyone whose heart has the diseases of doubts and desires, it contains clear proofs that distinguish truth from falsehood. It thus removes the diseases of doubt that corrupt knowledge, conception, and perception, so that the person sees things as they really are. It contains wisdom, good admonition through encouragement and warning, and stories with lessons that bring about the rectification of the heart. The heart then desires what benefits it and turns away from what harms it, becoming a lover of right guidance and a hater of error, after having desired error and hated right guidance.
