Original question
He was asked about a man from whom a sum of money was stolen. He suspected one of his children, then began praying against him and shunning him, although the child was innocent and had taken nothing. Is the child rewarded on account of his father's prayers against him?
Answer
Yes. If the child is wronged, Allah expiates his sins through the wrong he suffers and rewards him for his patience. The person who prays against another unjustly incurs sin.
