Original question
What about someone who claims that he seeks assistance from Muslim jinn to meet needs or identify certain illnesses?
Answer
This is not permissible. Assistance must not be sought from jinn: neither from them nor from soothsayers, astrologers or charlatans. Assistance is to be sought only from someone whose truthfulness is known and who is known to be a person of goodness.
