Original question
He was asked about a man who set out for Friday prayer when the prayer had already begun: should he run to reach it, or come at an easy pace even if he misses it?
Answer
Praise belongs to Allah. If he fears missing Friday prayer, he hastens so that he catches one rakʿah or more of it. But if he can catch it while walking calmly, that is better; indeed, it is the Sunnah. Allah knows best.
