Original question
He, may Allah have mercy on him, was asked about a pregnant woman who saw bleeding resembling menstruation, which continued. The midwives said that she should break the fast for the unborn child's benefit, although the woman was not in pain. May she break the fast?
Answer
If the pregnant woman fears for her unborn child, she breaks the fast, makes up one day for each day missed, and feeds one poor person for each day: a raṭl of bread with its accompaniment. Allah knows best.
