Selected explanation
It should be known that none of the imams generally accepted by the community deliberately opposes the Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him, in any part of his Sunnah, small or great. They are in certain agreement that following the Messenger is obligatory and that the statements of every person may be accepted or rejected, except those of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him.
