Belief in ʿĪsā ibn Maryam عليه السلام — Jesus, the son of Mary, peace be upon him — is an essential part of Islam. The Qur’ān mentions him repeatedly, praises him as a noble messenger of Allah, and protects his honour from both denial and exaggeration. The authentic Sunnah — the verified teachings, actions, and approvals of the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ — also mentions that he will descend before the Hour, meaning before the Day of Judgment. Therefore, the Muslim position is balance
